The Melbourne protest

The Melbourne Protests

Earlier this week, Melbourne and the whole of Australia was brought to a stand still by industrial relations law protests.  My opinion is that once the new industrial relations system is bedded down things are going to be better for workers and everyone else.  Sure school leavers are going to have a few problems in the initial stages; however, it is like anything once they get to know the system then it will be easy.

Schools should teach their school leavers about the system, and what they can expect their bargaining position to be.

I also think that there is a business opportunity for some people to set themselves up as bargaining agents.
